Date: August 15th, 2025 2:28 AM Author: Diamond Dallas Trump there is no reason to even delid that CPU because the overclocking ability is so limited. every chip will go to 5.4 regardless of whether it's delidded or has extreme cooling. that is a strict hardware limitation and the only way to go higher is with a tiny handful of motherboards that have clockgen, which gets you another 300-400mhz of paper numbers, but the practical gain is less than 1% because now you are creating problems with the memory, which the 9800x3d is very sensitive to.
