It turns out that the sole defining feature of your right to be alive is whether you have been outspoken against the Israeli campaign. And you can’t just be a little outspoken; you have to be screaming at the top of your lungs. If you haven’t stood up for Palestinian children you deserve to be unalived, or whatever the latest twisted logic.
I remember reading that even as the majority of the country opposed the Vietnam War, hatred for anti-war protesters on college campuses was virtually unanimous. It’s amazing that these guys didn’t learn from that (though to be fair a plurality or even majority of today’s college protestors didn’t have ancestors in the country in the 60s and 70s). |

If you can’t understand the difference between “Goebbels engineered the Holocaust” and “Charlie Kirk supported Israel” then I don’t know how to help you. It’s not an exaggerated argument; it’s completely different and disingenuous. Kirk had exactly zero policy making authority in any country in the world, had nothing to do with Israel, dedicated the vast majority of his time to non-Palestine-related cultural topics in the US, and his conversations were driven by his audience, who asked him questions. Did he take a position you find abhorrent? Sure. I’m not even convinced he did. It sounds like he was pushing back on Israel recently.
And I wasn’t referring to you in the OP; there are tons of this kind of person all over Twitter, FB, everywhere (though you do sound quite similar to them these days) |

I think I'm fairly well plugged into this world. Few people are cheering his death, or claiming that he deserved it. Most people don't condone how he died, but they are also simply refusing to participate in his mourning. What exactly is wrong with that? Charlie Kirk held abhorrent views about Muslims. He routinely mocked Palestinians. Would you ask Jews to mourn the death of a Nazi foot soldier? |
