Would going with a 50 pint be a waste and I should just get one for each floor that needs it? |

Really the only place would be in front of a central ac intake but that's counterproductive because the AC removes humidity more efficiently than a dehumidifier so feeding it already-dry air is a waste. If you don't have circulation, running a powerful dehumidifier is just going to bring the area around it to 40 but not affect distant areas.
