He didn't get an order to show cause or anything--just called out in a response brief--so my guess is that he just fed the response into chatGPT and had it spit out a reply brief, and in typical chatGPT fashion it gave an inadequate apology for its fuckup and then just went and wrote another brief with fake cites.
Dude probably didn't know there was a problem until he got the opinion. Or, if he used AI to read that too, until the media started calling. |
