Now, especially post-covid. Some poasters talk a big game here, but I sometimes wonder what percent of them shortly after logging out of their account walk into the office and start firing off all sorts of NPC small talk, comments, memes and even rhetoric when the time comes. I'm not talking something as bad as To be fair tp, walking into work to tell his Jewish colleagues how strongly he supports israel, but maybe a bit more sublte than that. Perhaps work is a poor example, because not everyone talks politics or other controversial subjects at work. All though it can include people being completely 180 different, or possibly even something like being alt-right on xo and those are your sincere beliefs, but expressing lib views in front of everyone you know irl in order to be "accepted" or whatever

some poasters use xo to be honest about shit they can't say irl or to just scream into the void. some poasters use xo to LARP. i think you can usually tell who is who by who by whether they are able to take Ls on embarrassing aspects of their life or even just shit that happens on the bort. and also whether they will hold opinions outside the xo zeitgeist. when someone claims they are an omegachad, rich, white, married with 2.3 kids to a tradwife who has only received his cock, and all their opinions align with the xo zeitgeist and they aren't afraid to ANYONE irl about it... i question whether that is actually their reality.

probably no one is completely honest. i use xo to poast shit anonymously and poast embarrassing things but there are certainly other embarrassing things i choose not to share. but that's different than essentially making up a whole life and sincerely pretending that's you. wmtp comes to mind.

Plan when I get out is to work independently enough (e.g. have a client base that doesn't care) that I'm untouchable. I'm pretty committed at this point to not ever taking shit I don't have to, and pretending to tolerate fags is absolutely shit I don't have to take. I'll do what it takes to avoid ever being beholden to an employer or institution that tries to threaten that.

Probably suddenly become very bad at my job, in the way that is profoundly endemic throughout the military: apathy, lack of initiative, total unwillingness to complete tasks my superiors don't literally watch me do, feigning incompetence at every turn where any expertise or even basic competence is required, start documenting all of my minor injuries and go to sick call for all of them, schedule appointments of varying necessity during the middle of the duty day, sham when they're done and claim the DOD civilian contractors just couldn't do anything quickly (50% chance this is true), etc. I'd also start SFL-TAP (out processing for the Army) as soon as possible, and finish with that as soon as possible so I can't do any training. In short, become a very bad soldier in every area except fitness and shooting, and stop providing any unique value (e.g. learning and teaching commo stuff like antenna theory and SKL / radio programming to other infantrymen). This wouldn't fly in Regiment but it would absolutely fly in the conventional Army -- I know guys who literally do this, and there's basically nothing they can do about it.
