My biggest binges are frequently triggered by "deals."

I walked into a Nations Giant Hamburger with the best intentions - 2 burger patties with cheese and onions and jalapeños. Nothing else.

But when it was my turn order, i impulsively asked the semi non-english speaker at the counter "if there are any deals in the app." He said No. Are there any deals at all? He said Yes. I said What are they? He goes No. So im like OK this guy doesnt understand, i'll just order as i planned. But when I ordered the patty and said I would also like cheese, he put me down for 4.75 for the patty and 2.40 for the cheese- in the past at a different location cheese was included in the 4.75 but as I feared, he was charging me separately for it. But just as I am about to cancel the cheese, he picks up a coupon from the counter and scans it. On the POS screen it says "Employee Discount -50%."

Right then I just fucking lost all self-control like a looter in a Baltimore CVS and immediately I ordered- all for 50% off:

After all this I went back and ordered:

Slice key lime pie (1/4 pie)

Basically I lost control, binged, left the employees a $5 tip, and now I feel sick to my stomach.
