my last MacBook Pro was specced-out and lasted nearly 10 years. could've kept going longer if i didn't drop it too many times and bust the screen

i paid nearly $4k for my latest M2 MacBook Pro. i expect it to last me roughly 10 years as well. it's worth the premium IMO. also i'm low IQ

i have an iPad Mini, and it's perfect for my needs: something bigger than my phone that's light enough to hold with one hand. idk about the bigger iPads

The mini is a great poasting tool and perfect size for travel.

iPad A16. I actually haven’t owned an Apple Screen in years but somehow Android tablets are still TTT and overpriced

good poasting screen

i've looked into Android phones and tablets. some have crazy hardware that beats Apple by far, but Android ruins them

I've always preferred android phones but for tablets it doesn't really come close; they've just never put much effort into making Android a good tablet OS, everything is basically scaled up phone apps. And the entry level ipad was only $300

if you just need a phone to do basic things then Android is probably fine, but i use FaceTime all the time, and the app selection for Apple products is much better than what Android offers. also dat green text bubble

uncapped. i've had a macbook air m1 for a few years and it's great. i don't think it cost more than like ~$1000 though, idk how you're spending $4k. i'm gonna date myself here but i remember when you could buy a NICE used honda civic or toyota camry for $4k

i pay for quality and longevity. my last MacBook Pro was still going strong after nearly 10 years when the screen crapped out after i dropped it too many times. a MacBook Air will probably get laggy after a few years

i pay the "premium" for longevity for a couple of things, like some tech and footwear. i've had the same pair of Red Wing boots for over a decade (paid around $300), and they don't even need to be re-soled yet after that long. you save money in the long-run

It takes Apple programmers 10 years to produce an OS that can make full use of their silicon from 10 years ago. I have an iPad with a M1 processor, but it may as well have a Qualcomm Snapdragon because iOS is so gimped. In 10 years there should still be black market demand for M1 CPUs, someone just needs to hack the bootloader and give me a good soldering iron.

Macbook Air is the only credited Macbook right now. The 14" MBP overheats and runs like dogshit now and the 16" is too yuge
