DSLR was used once with a shitty kit lens for a sports event (manual focus, of course; enjoy your garbage C-AF). Otherwise it's been 28mm for everything, no exceptions. Pic of some spider webs in a bush? 28mm. Pics of a weird animal in an enclosure: also 28mm. It's actually cool to have an entire summer captured in 28mm

No image stabilization and settings menu is a hellscape. IBIS in the GR III effectively let's it shoot in low light like a FF camera with no IBIS

i've never understood these. so its like a built in fixed lens. but its also slow. and attached to a small sensor. but at a high price.

what's the appeal of 28mm? i use 24 and 35, but 28 just seems like a weird one to compose with. kudos to you to committing to it for a summer, i have an fuji x100 vi that i didn't bright to europe because i wanted the flexibility of the 24-100 on my sony.

i dunno, I got feel for it I guess and now I don't miss 50mm. I have a conversion lens that takes it down to 21mm but it loses sharpness at the edges
