the problem is that remote "workers" don't do any work at all

I've been WFH since before COVID. Regardless of any nominal "mandatory" policy, if you want to work remote and are valuable enough, then you can make that happen. If you have to report to an office, then you are viewed as a retard that must be supervised hth.

If you actually want to do shit in life for some reason the only “bad” part of WFH is the commute. If you were doing something that matters like developing the OOT remake you wouldn’t bitch about working in an office. WFH is fucking great for jobs with a lot of downtime though.
As for why people failed to demand wfh, employers just kept rescheduling RTO over and over and over and over again until it stuck. They were undeterred by failure. Death by 1000k cuts.
