sounds bizarre

Bunny chow is a South African dish consisting of a half or a quarter loaf of bread that is hollowed out and stuffed with curry that has been cooked with kidney beans or meats such as mutton, chicken, and lamb. It is traditionally consumed without utensils.

The dish originated in the city of Durban, and it is believed that bunny chow owes its origins to the Indian immigrants who came to South Africa in the late 19th century. Today, this cheap and filling dish has crossed borders, so it is also quite popular in the United Kingdom.

hard to pinpoint the definition of stew

google Kokoras krasatos lol

ive never really had the korean or japanese stews bc i havent spent much time in these places and did other things and the us version of their food tends to be sps.

but the brazilian and peruvian ones are excellent.

both the Japanese ones are Japanese versions of "curry", they're actually really good eating (when made properly in Japan by Japs)

Peruvian food can be a revelation, it is far from the rice and beans I would have assumed

but there's a LOT of shit on this list, and is it right to have like half a dozen entries dedicated to different variations of Thai curry? I mean I get that they have different colors, yet there is no room for coq au vin or beef burgundy?

wow, TIL.

Chicken tikka masala is widely believed to have been invented in the 1970s in Glasgow, Scotland, by Ali Ahmed Aslam, a British-Pakistani chef at the Shish Mahal restaurant. Legend suggests he created the creamy, tomato-based sauce to appease a customer who found their chicken tikka too dry. It is now considered a staple of British cuisine.

Lol, Pörkölt is what every country outside of Hungary calls goulash and Wiener Saftgulasch is just a variation of Pörkölt. And these are the two whitest dishes on the list!
