machines become more and more intelligent, people will let machines make more and more of their decisions for them, simply because machinemade decisions will bring better results than man-made ones. Eventually a stage may be reached at which the decisions necessary to keep the system running will be so complex that human beings will be incapable of making them intelligently. At that stage the machines will be in effective control. People won’t be able to just turn the machine off, because they will be so dependent on them that turning them off would amount to suicide

Yep. I suspect our doom from machines won’t even be them killing us or doing anything intentionally malicious. We will probably sign up for some variation of the matrix where we can dream in simulated nirvana and the real world is just gay as shit in comparison. Or behavioral sink if we stay unplugged with no work or purpose to anything. Humanity is probably done here it really all seems to be pointing in that direction—western woman’s aversion to reproduction is our collective unconsciousness realizing it’s over.
