"Time and space bend to keep the speed of light constant"

Everything in the Universe is the speed of light's bitch.

Watch the five minutes or so after this link. This guy explained spacetime/relativity better than anyone else I've seen. Obviously a great teacher in addition to being wicked smaht.

Probably wrong, but I always got the sense that light doesn't travel so much as it is "activated" in place. As though it serves to reveal reality itself in an instant and is something more fundamental in everything. ::takes hit from coke can turned weed apparatus::

If black holes are possible then why isn’t faster than light travel possible? Shouldnt the answer be something like “the laws of physics and causality break down past the speed of light,” sort of like they do inside a black hole? Like I get why nothing can “occur” inside a black, but they still “exist.”

Seems possible that we are just wrong about "black holes" IMO. Lots of cosmic shit that we are just guessing at IMO. And let's be honest, Stephen Hawking was theorizing this shit while getting a lap dance from 15 year old girls on Epstein's island.
