Honestly, you haven't been traveling much lately, when you start again you may be horrified at how the world is even more flooded with oceans of tourists than even only a few years ago. There are fewer and fewer places with interesting history stuff but without floods of tourists.

But consider a few days in your ancestral homeland. Lisbon is full of tourists in the obvious places but just walk 100 yards away and that changes. And it's a really nice place. Rent a car and go to southern Spain as well. That could be a pretty good easy trip back into traveling.

I really like Poland and the Baltics and I don't mind the Poles. Yes a lot of Jew shit to see, and a lot of "man those commies were assholes" shit all over that region, that part is awesome (in an awful way) and you can spend a LOT of enjoyable time seeing the various "commies suck" museums. The historic old cities in the Baltics (Vilnius, Riga, Tallinn) are really great too, like the old city in Riga is one of the great surviving examples of Hanseatic architecture, hours of enjoyable wandering, and a few minutes away the "new" city from the 19th century is one of the world's great examples of Art Nouveau architecture, also much enjoyable wandering. Highly recommend. Krakow too. Those ones are are real and great. Warsaw was totally flattened in 1945, the commies rebuilt the "old city", it's weirdly fascinating to see but it feels like an abandoned film set.

Balkans are pretty interesting too, I really really like Belgrade as a city, Sarajevo is fascinating even if a bit grim, and also weird with too many bearded muslims around, and Dubrovnik although a big open air museum is also really special.

I really like Indonesia. You guys like the third world, Indo is 3rd world but not too much, it's a nice balance. In Java there aren't all that many temples, islam took care of most of that, but Borobudur is one of the world's great sites, you should go see that one time.

Of the places you mentioned, I would go back to the Baltics ahead of the others.

I've also been to Saudi a handful of times with work, although not for last 3 years now. I tried to do tourism but didn't get far. Everything is either inaccessible or "restored" Arab style. They were "reconstructing" the old city at Diriyah so it was inaccessible, I'm sure they have "reconstructed" it to shit and totally ruined it with sound-and-light shows and ye olde ice cream shoppes and the usual shit Arabs do when they "restore" some place. It's interesting to see the place change and I'm sure it's still changing rapidly, and you should go one time, once, but not for your first time back traveling, and I generally agree with RSF's view.

I would be really surprised if there are Airbnb in Majuro, Marshall Islands, and probably not in Micronesia either. Very few visitors in either place. In Micronesia, go to Pohnpei island, it's nice, don't go to Chuuk, apparently there is a lot of PNG style violence there. For Socoroto whatever island it looks cool but $900 for return flight from Abu Dhabi, $200 for visa, then whatever for hotels and guide which is requiress. So prob at least 3k for 5-7d.
