Investors might get really lucky and hold onto a piece that skyrockets. Or they might get greedy and buy at the top of the market and lose their lunch in a crash. That's why it's such a tricky business. I really wouldn't recommend watches as a consistent investment opportunity. If sometimes you win big and sometimes you lose big it's a terrible business model. You never want that much volatility. There are a lot more stable investments in collectibles than watches. Being right in the market once isn't enough to sustain a business long term. Date: March 18th, 2026 9:12 AM Author: chestnut fear-inspiring range TBH, I was a bit disappointed she couldn't keep it together for the whole dive but I suppose since this was an exploratory dive and she didn't do any of the classroom or pool work most people do before being throw in the ocean she did well.
It could always be worse, at least nothing awful, like her being some gutter prole tatted up scumbaguette aesthetician for example. Ghastly. |

what I left out about that first dive I went on after 5 years was that it was right after Hurricane Elsa. We dove out of Venice, FL, to specifically look for megalodon teeth because storms really churn up the water & make it easier to find them. However, it also means the conditions are pretty bad: zero visibility with very strong, unpredictable currents. Literally everyone was pulling sea urchin spines out. My hand was covered in blood because I grabbed what I thought was a rock when a big wave came through underwater, but it was actually a sea urchin. And then there was the coral... we were all skilled enough to largely avoid it, but everyone wound up getting nailed at least once. We all surfaced after about 15 minutes because the risk of damaging coral was too high.
that said, I'd give anything just to chill in some tropical reef at 30 feet for an afternoon. |
