I kinda want to build one from parts because I really enjoy that. I want a nitro finish but if you get a body on Warmoth they won't do the nitro for you. You have to get one that's got primer and then you have to DIY. Apparently it's really easy to fuck up and takes weeks of sanding. Probably too lazy. But I do love a partscaster. I think you should get a nice standard p bass and maybe customize it a bit. |

First thing I'm gonna do I think I'm gonna go tortoise pickguard to give it a more vintage look. Then I'm gonna toss the goofy bridge. It's supposedly for tuning stability but it looks shit imo. Pickups I have had Seymour Duncan Quarter Pounders before I don't care for them. Gonna go vintage tone. QPs imo they have too much BASS tbh and not enough treble. I typical gravitate towards vintage pups. That's phase I.
Phase II is do something cool with the neck but I haven't gotten that far. I will say, if I never made any changes to it, it's badass as is. It's already cool which means if I don't like anything I change I can just set it back to default. Red and black is killer no doubt. |
