First year I realized I wasn’t getting biglaw. So i met this fugazi shyster lawyer who hired me as a law student intern $15 an hour. Millionaire with like 10 attorneys and still too cheap to pay for westlaw so he wanted a law student password. I was like how am I gonna work for you when the ABA limits working hours while a student to 20 hours?

He looked at me confused. Basically said kid you’re never gonna make it in this world if you don’t bend certain rules. Let me doctor the payroll paperwork if you’re so concerned.

Never went to class, just went to finals. Got 3.4 and top 1/3 of class.

I worked for him all 2 and a half rest of the years. He hired me post law school. Left him after 2 years practicing law because my student loans were ridiculous. Needed PSLF. Worked for a government agency that he had a contract with. Made $250k the each of the last years I worked there, got PSLF ($300k forgiven lmao).

Then I left that agency and a now shitlaw partner with him and his other guy. On pace to make over a million this year.

Lmao at the legal rebel gatekeepers.

you also cant go part time at most schools. there is a "residency" requirement. it makes sense when you realize how important it is to be on campus for the scholarship.
