I havent really poasted or lurked in months. Here's what I found:

Have barely looked at the Bort over the last 6 months. As a functional explanation, I think I just replaced the experience with Twitter. I only lurk there, so its far more passive. But my feed has finally coalesced so I get a lot of the same discussion types. Only Im not part of the discussion anymore.
On the positive side, I really am more optimistic. It may be a kind of blue pill Im experiencing right now, but the greatbort really does have a contagious toxicity. The heights of my xo usage align with the depths of my despair. I dont know the causality direction, but the alignment is undeniable.
On the negative side, many of you felt like very close friends and I do miss you. I think about you still, all the time, and marvel that I will likely die without meeting you.
Perhaps Im back full-time tomorrow, I dunno. But I kind of feel retired. |

primarily because the content is so short-form and everyone is frenetically, frenzily chasing likes on twitter, and its way more politics focused
the twitter cliques are way more ossified than zozo's too imo, and its *extremely* censorious w/r/t deboosting disapproved content
so the "feeling" of twitter is that it utterly eviscerates one's attention span for nothing in return
i have stayed far away from that hellscape nightmare |
