I've got friends who work at ASU and they live in the poorer southern part but it's pretty convenient and they aren't living life on the freeway all the time.my parents live very very far north where it's pretty and nice but they don't have to go into work. Would be a nightmare.
The down town area is lame imo. It has all this rhinestone cowgirl shit that isn't authentic to the rest of the state. but would be totally passable for a year
