Wife manufactured a fight the other day

Date: March 14th, 2026 7:30 AM Author: Violent maniacal set She and our son were about to leave to visit her parents for a week. One frequent point of contention is household chores. I am all about maximizing the value of my time, so I encourage her to hire out as much stuff as possible. She gets offended by this because she sees doing chores as a way for me to prove that I love her or something.
So anyway, she asked me, as my workday was starting, to load her bags. She knew I didn't have time to do that. I told her I didn't have time and that she should get one of my employees to do it. She said, I don't need him I need my husband! I refused to load the bags. She said, I'll just do ot myself.
I stood my ground and went to get coffee. I came back about 15 minutes later, and she and my son were gone. No goodbye. She would barely speak to me for the next day. |

TCR is to use your advantages (strength; masculinity) to calm her down, at least for a few minutes. that means lifting her up bride-style and taking a few steps forward and telling her you wish you could do that, but you've got to go hunting (your job) and you know she will do well because she's special.

At the same time, chores and weird little tasks are just a way for women to spread misery and micro manage you, solving it with $$$ infuriates her because she loses that leverage
This is definitely an edge case imo.
