This linguistic variety reflects the ethnic mosaic and regional differences. Religious Diversity: Religion in Uganda is varied, with Christianity (84%) and Islam (14%) being the largest faiths, based on 2014 census data. Christianity is split between Catholics (39%), Anglicans (32%), and growing Pentecostal and evangelical groups. Islam is predominantly Sunni, with a small Ahmadiyya presence. Indigenous beliefs and other religions (e.g., Hinduism, Sikhism) exist in smaller numbers, particularly in urban areas. Religious coexistence is generally peaceful, though tensions occasionally arise.
