He kicked it up to the feds because he literally, LITERALLY thought there was too much local corruption in favor of Epstein. He said the entire case made him "lose faith in the entire justice system." He thought bringing the Feds in would help him. They had 40 witnesses with sworn testimony. And Acosta came in and put the kibosh on it. He was absolutely devastated.
