Tracking my weight loss with Wegovy. Taking advice/suggestions/abuse/etc.

Height: 6' 1".
Weight: Haven't weighed myself in over two years. I'm going to weigh myself first thing tomorrow morning before I eat or drink anything. Definitely north of 220 lbs. How far north? I'll find out tomorrow morning.
Pictures of my disgusting body as of this morning:
I've been overweight for two years, and I've failed to get to a healthy weight and stay at that weight during the entire time. My diet is pretty boring and healthy, but my appetite seems to be all fucked up from stress. I was in great shape until my mid 30s when my gut started growing slowly. At this point I'm frustrated with my inability to lose weight and keep it off, and I'm just too worried about my health now after being fat for years, so I'm starting Wegovy. I took the first pill this morning.
It takes a few months to ramp up to the maintenance dose, so I'm not sure how much it'll help in the beginning. In the meantime, I'm going to add in strength training to my exercise routine, which has just been at least an hour of cardio every single day. I'm going to reduce calories slowly. I used to have a binge eating problem, and my doctor told me to be very careful not to cut out too many calories too quickly because the binge eating could resurface. |

My diet is based on the Mediterranean diet with lots of lean proteins, fruits, veggies, olive oil, legumes, etc. But I have a tendency to eat garbage snacks when I'm particularly stressed. I also used to wake up in the middle of the night feeling starved and would binge eat anywhere from 300 to 800+ calories. So despite being this fat, my blood work came back surprisingly good because the "core" of my diet is still a lot of healthy stuff. I don't remember the exact number, but I don't actively track calories because, again, I eat virtually the same food every day. I know that what I was eating a week ago was making me fat, so I'm just eating smaller portions of every single meal and/or cutting out specific foods entirely. It seems like a hassle to track every meal, anyway, since I eat six times a day. I'd rather just measure two things once a week: my weight and my waist size, and then adjust my diet accordingly. |

How is this shit even FDA approved given how common these GI side effects are?
I'm doing my best to get around this temporary gastroparesis by eating primarily liquids and not too much fiber. Food is still getting through and I'm still taking shits, so I don't think there's a risk of bowel issues as long as I stick to my mostly-liquid diet for the short-term. |

Still drinking Pedialyte primarily. Some days are good, some days I vomit everything I try to eat. Seems to be getting better slowly.
I weighed myself this morning. I've lost around 12 pounds in 15 days, although I assume some of that weight loss is due to dehydration from all the vomiting.
I seem to be the absolute worst candidate for these GLP-1s. Vomiting nearly daily combined with debilitating, incapacitating nausea for over 10 days now, and it's still too soon to say it's over. Holy shit. |
