These are all bulk prices from a mulch biz for cubic yards.I can’t find cheaper but If there is cheaper I’d go with that. Mulch by the bag is more expensive at the big box stores here.

I’m mulching flower/plant beds at the front and side of my house. They’re About 550-600 square feet total. If I did all the beds it would be double. For aesthetics and to prevent weeds in equal measure.

If its delivered thats a good price. Its about $25 a yard here but we have a big timber industry so maybe thats why. 1 yard fills up my truck bed completely.

Get cedar it will keep weeds down the best. Leaf mulch will encourage weeds but is good for soil. Go way thicker than you'd think you need

A bag of mulch (2 cubic feet) is $4 at the big box stores. Making a cubic yard $54 if you bought bags.

The cubic yards above I posted are less than that except for the southern hardwood.
