Never heard this before but I did notice RPM going down while I sit here

Is starting the car and instantly driving off fucking it up over time?

this is not confined to a sports car, but if you have a turbocharger you should definitely not be revving it hard until the engine is fully up to temp, the old warm it up thing was mostly for old cars or potentially in really, really cold weather, not really a concern for normal modern cars if you aren't a retard
