UIM claim going to an arbitrator or some shit. I don't even remember because the crash happened nearly two years ago. Crash left me with a concussion and missing several weeks of work.

Guy who hit fled the scene, but cops found him. I have a witness (driver behind him who stopped to help).

Guy who hit me plead guilty and ended up on probation.

Now I need to give a sworn statement for the UIM claim. Lawyer said it'll last a few hours without giving any details.

Can someone tell me why this shit takes so long, and what I should/shouldn't say? Thank.

It sounds like the liability is pretty clear. Just go in and answer the questions honestly. The worst thing you can do in a deposition is look like you rehearsed your answers. This isn't legal advice, a monkey typed this post by hitting keys randomly.
