Though I could be off.
Otherwise, there's no real point in arguing about where oil comes from, IMO, as it would make no practical difference to the nature of the industry. |

what's funny is that oil is created "by the earth." organic matter becoming oil is a naturally occuring process that is continually occurring. so i guess these oil conspiracy people are confident that not only does the earth produce it in some other way, but that it's replenished so rapidly it could be considered a renewable resource. |

To be fair to this guy, the Germans absolutely worked on ways to generate oil through non-traditional means in order to power their war machine. Part of why they lost the war was due to energy constraints.
