i paid nearly $4k for my latest M2 MacBook Pro. i expect it to last me roughly 10 years as well. it's worth the premium IMO. also i'm low IQ |

i pay the "premium" for longevity for a couple of things, like some tech and footwear. i've had the same pair of Red Wing boots for over a decade (paid around $300), and they don't even need to be re-soled yet after that long. you save money in the long-run |

I have an iPad with a M1 processor, but it may as well have a Qualcomm Snapdragon because iOS is so gimped. In 10 years there should still be black market demand for M1 CPUs, someone just needs to hack the bootloader and give me a good soldering iron.
