For reference: wife and I made $110k combined in 2013. We were just dating. We had a junior 1BR ($1875 a month) in lower east side 70’s. Drank wine and four lokos, barely went out. Actually we did once in a while. Had to pay our metro cards. Also both had cars. Nightmare to park but we did it somehow.

Saved nothing. Had to quit private law and do some other lawyer type shit in government now I make $250k and own a house lmao.
