the "after all this is France" line shows the Eiffel tower, which wasn't built yet during the period in France the movie takes place. Movie takes place during the 18th century while the French royalty structure was still in place.

the candle butler fag says they've been sitting around for 10 years which would mean the beast was only 11 years old when he became a beast (rose petal spell was to expire on his 21st birthday). that doesn't make sense and would have been a real dick move to do that to a kid.

Also the beast goes from wearing no pants to wearing pants. sign you shouldn't let some shrew turn you into a Clothmo

In the direct-to-video "sequel" Beauty and the Beast: The Enchanted Christmas, there's a flashback to when Prince Adam is cursed and he seems to be in his mid-teens, so maybe Lumière just lost count of the years.
As for the Eiffel Tower, Disney Renaissance movies are rife with modern pop culture references: look at Genie's whole thing, and Zazu singing 'It's a Small World.' This was the 90s, the Soviet Union had fallen, it seemed like America was the very culmination of human history, so naturally characters in these disparate settings keep pointing at American culture and values, like every now and then the ceremonial laws of Exodus and Leviticus, the gold, frankincense, and myrrh of the incense altar, for example, hint at Christ.
But yeah, Disney definitely fucked up with the pants.
