tesla/musk's ventures in general revolutionized american rocketry, the EV scene, and battery technology. the benefits that this company has brought to the economy are immense. the only people who deny the opportunity for both the environment and the affordability of a cheap, more sustainable alternative to petroleum are either shills for BIGOIL or insane

elon's political record can be spotty but you're delusional if you think his companies aren't ambitious and economically productive

by "ambitious" you mean he just lies about timelines, gets massive investments then makes products nobody wants. what happened to the robotaxi that was going to be in operation this month btw?

i don't know and economic disruptions have slowed down the pace of quite a few things in the world. what i can tell you is that i got to play around with a model 3 a while back and was stunned at how much it offers as a vehicle for the price point that it's at. the automatic driving stuff, even though i'd probably never choose to use it, seemed like the stuff of science-fantasy not but a few years ago. this, the battery range, and the network of EV superchargers everywhere are things i considered to be impossible throughout most of my adult life.

for all of his faults, at least he puts his capital towards things that are actually interesting. stuff like the tunnel borer network may never actually work well enough to be practical but it's a worthy venture and i'm glad someone's at least trying it. i don't know enough about astrophysics to speak on SpaceX's business but people who do seem to be very impressed by it and the satellite networks its enabled

how do nasa, boeing, or any other rocket company's products compare to SpaceX?

how does Iridium look when compared against Starlink?
