I used to have an endless drip feed of dopamine maintenance via tailored YouTube content but even that has succumbed to Ruination. The only solace left is The Written Word (stfu mig).

I was 11 then so I don't think I had a proper understanding of the internet as a whole. Coincidentally that was the same year I discovered 4chan. I think my unrestricted childhood internet access was a bad thing.

I think the internet and work ruined my brain for books. So slow moving. Also, a lot of them seem childish. Even novels widely recognized as great have a lot of filler and cringeworthy shit.

See that's why I can't read books anymore.. although I do read or rather reread great books that I read when I was a kid such as by the science fiction author heinlein, I don't read any new books, and one reason is that I think I'm smarter and more experienced and more knowledgeable in the ways of the world than any author would be, so why should I be immersed in their thinking?
