If you take away the branding the aesthetic is crap in my opinion. And I’m not sure about the long-term prestige over a Scotty. I know a putter is mostly jewelry for a golfer but I’ve always been fine being understated and people that know, know about PLD Pings.
But mostly, I just didn’t like how the ball rolled with it. The Ping was a revelation in comparison. Had so much confidence in my line. And the all-black is beautiful imo. |

Then I got CT1 sensors to screw into the back of my clubs and the Super Stroke grip didn’t work on them. I even fucking drilled into it to make them fit but after a few weeks, the sensors fell off. Then I still didn’t want to spend money on a new putter so I got it regripped with a grip that works with the sensors. And now the fucking thing is completely different, feels super light and shitty. You need a lighter grip or approx the same weight as original oem grip (or slightly lighter to account for ARCOS). Or put lead tape or weighted screws (Callaway sells these) on the head |

ime when people say a putter feels lighter they mean it’s literally lighter in lbs/ounces more often than they’re talking about the swingweight. most people these days aren’t putting with a handsy stroke and wont really feel a SW difference the same as you would with woods or irons |

This weekend I went to a fancy golf store again. Many many iron sets are over $1000 now, some were $1200-1400. They even had $1000 drivers

Multiple "fitting" golf stores told me the same shit, same measurements etc. TBH I have to bend over really far with normal clubs (or hold them on the very end of the club) and playing a round has always kinda hurt my back. They say this is why. When they let me swing with a demo set to my measurements it definitely felt better IMO but I know nothing |
