Part of the deal was that ESPN got last pick on the teams who played MNF so it was a lot of mediocre games that only gambling addicts and fantasy nerds cared about in the mid 00s.
But the CR to the OP is the second game on Thanskgiving. Cowboys Commies was the most watch regular season game in decades this year. |

The very best Sunday night matchups can win the week and beat the 4:25 window but this doesn’t happen the majority of times. Dallas/Philly on SNF next week is an example of when this could happen but CBS has Buffalo @ KC and that’s a big game too. |
