Was teaching my wife how to do stocks. We bought $10k of MU at $64 a share and it went to like $70 the sold. Last year during Trump Tarriffs. I was like see you just made $3k in a week!
Now it’s at $600. Those shares would be work $91k right now lmao.

Woah, I know you're retired, but have you considered going into wealth management? Poasters could do their lawfag stuff and let you handle the investments.

during covid i got out and thought market wld go down a lot more, i was only like 10-20% equities, well it recovered hugely and i missed out
i have a spreadsheeet and just that 2-3 month period of booms in 2020ish was more imp than ANYTHING else in the last 6+ years, like by not being invested them i missed out on like 50% of gains or smoe shit like that
then anotehr time during ukraine way i did covered calls on all my QQQ, i had like 800k worth or something, i made almost 100k in premiums first year but then war started.. actually i cant remember wtf happened but somehow QQQ boomed and my calls got furked and basically i missed out on 100k+ profit
and nnow there's my current situaton im down 111k but this is not over, so i wont focus on it
last year i did kill it with tariff shits and made like 400k+ from peak downturn, but that was like ONLY good year my entire shit life
im retarded

I have a family guy who manages my money. I insisted on investing some of my own money at one point, and he eventually agreed, reluctantly. I lost the majority of it within a month.

Selling NVDA. Would be worth millions but I sold.
Buying EAF because someone I respected spoke positively about Mohnish Pabrai and he was pitching EAF. Didn't do my own work. Total shitco.

bought almost $20K worth of gazprom when the ukraine war kicked off because i figured it would bounce back on fundamentals when everything blew over
didn't count on it being sanctioned and delisted. now if i want my money i need to go to russia and open some region-locked bank account and hope i don't get pipe raped doing an in-person bitcoin/cash exchange

1, spending money on frivolous things rather than investing
2, not going bigger on a profitable covid trade, it was obvious that something was coming that was on average more serious than the flu, and that it would have some kind of economic impact
3, nothing too crazy but the standards of this thread. picked a few losers that lost 30-50% and sold them

In HS, like 2003-04, I made like 20k selling bootleg dvds on ebay, bought a bunch of shares in aapl, nvda, coscto and amd. I remember apple shares were like $7 Not flame. Sold them all in 2009 & spent it traveling.
A few years back my parents were selling my childhood home and I visited to clear out my old room & found a brokerage statement from back then, I calculated how much they'd all be worth at the time & wanted to kill myself. I don't even wanna think about it now. One of my best friends works at nvidia now and I still root against the company. I'm not even materialistic & think money is the most satanic thing ever invented
