anyway, the actual is answer is that while billionaires should pay more, there's a lot more people who make 400k+ so raising taxes on that group raises a lot of money and there's not much they can do about it.

think about it, when people say this, they are saying that our wealthy dont need the money right now so they can defer their compensation, so we should lower their taxes.

the real tax that libs harp on is the payroll tax. cap gains isn't subject to this (why would it be?) and it stops being applied on income above like 160k or smth like that (they really want this uncapped)
