Yes America is dramatically more obese. but obesity is highly concentrated in what you might call disadvantaged socioeconomic groups. Those overweight tatto'd women aren't marrying lawyers.
MC and UMC moms in 2023 are light years ahead of their 1980s and 1990s counterparts. A lot of this is due to basically tech advances in clothing, makeup, hair, and yes plastic surgery. Society is also much less modest, which translated to dowdy, but even pointedly "modest" women in 2023 (ie not total tramps) still mostly look good. |
