This game is like Fallout games where you can search for loot and level up your character. However there's a twist. Locke provides that in the state of nature, before the first governments arose, no man was entitled to take more of what he found around him than he needed. If you hoarded all the apples from an apple tree in the woods, you invaded your neighbor's share. Hungry people will starve while your surplus apples go uneaten. Locke said that offended God.
So that's a rule in this game. There's plenty of ammo lying around, but you'd better be low already. You can't just stock up on ammo without causing trouble.
There is crafting in this game, and one of the things you can craft is a storage locker to hoard all your loot. However, this has consequences in terms of plot development and how other characters interact with you.
