the death of pirating, darkweb, etc. is sad. i know things still exist, but the ethos of the internet being free and open has mostly died. and while positive signs exist, as you point out, zoomers seem to be the most cucked and cowed generation ever. every generation since the boomers has had some anti-establishment/anti-authority streak. you might dismiss it as performative but at least it was something. meanwhile zoomers embrace conformity and falling in love with whatever the establishment says.

This is objectively false. I would go so far as to say that the % of white Zoomer males who self-identify as fascists/white nationalists is the highest it has ever been in American history. Those on the left are the furthest left they have ever been, but the opposite is also true. It's going to be a generation filled with extremists on both ends, which is fine by me.
