I went for the crisp version which seems more popular so I did sour cream and onion chips on regular bread that was buttered.

my thought was the crisp version would at least add some varied texture instead of soggy bread plus mushy fries

You need two pieces of epic home made bread slathered with real organic butter and loaded with thick cut fresh out of the frier chips (french fries) while still hot so it melts the butter and the fresh bread slices meld themselves around the layer of chips. I mean, you could add some crispy onions, but why bugger around with perfection? |
