Yeah that was insane, but that's super rare. He was also surrounded by a ton of family though so he was taking in food and fluids. Most folks at that stage will not eat or drink from a stranger's hands

they recommend hospice when u have 6 months to live. but maybe people wait. they are quite accurate with predicting death, tho, because it follows a pattern.

In order for you go there, a physician has to certify that you're a lost cause and that you qualify for unlimited opiates. You wouldn't believe how much juice they give folks who go home without an IV. They send you home with a huge jug of syrup AND you can get it refilled like the next day. Savvy family members will get it refilled so they have something to sip on after you die
