But, that said, there are also several in the group who went to more run-of-the-mill top 50 or 100 type colleges, which might not carry the same cache with xo prestige scholars.

In any event, we're all making nice lives for ourselves in the difficult circumstances of current year--though I recognize that growing up in a nice town, mostly in 2-parent households was an advantage for us. E.g., another thread today was talking about a poa losing $9k phone sports gambling last night. I bet (get it?) we have--collectively, across all 10 HS friends I noted itt--have bought in for approx. $9k in total, across all bets and gambling the 10 of us have ever made/ done in our lives.

Out of about 50 people I am only aware of two who had kids early on. Everyone else seems to have bounced around and eventually had one kid with a spouse they settled for.

Biggest success stories were those who married their HS sweetheart--one in my grade and one in the grade below me. Turns out you an have a respectable life after doing that much to everyone else's conventional wisdom.

Lots of them stayed in my hometown just living in a forever NOWAG environment instead of the "real" Amerikkka. Clearly because it's not possible for NOWAGS to exist outside of NOWAG enclaves, so I dont blame them but it's pretty funny. They might as well just move back to Asia

one guy has been working at the same gas station since 1995. literally just sitting there in the same chair since just after kurt cobain died. doesn't own it, he works there as a clerk.

one guy was an HVAC installer but quit to do woodworking. he has some family money so he can do that.

fwiw, he's a fat loser but honestly has a chill life. he owns this 2 br condo in crofton, md (like 20 mi from dc and about 30 mi from baltimore - kind of a suburb of both), has a 15 minute commute to work (literally four turns and a straight shot), and he hangs out and watches horror movies and shit. i think he's anxious about having literally no savings and living check to check, but he does seem happy. compare with me, i'm a neurotic mess with all kinds of mental issues.

people have tried to get him cush federal jobs. no interest. tried to get him into a trade, no interest. i dunno what his deal is.

I was surprised at how many people were retired. A few of the more attractive girls went into finance and 3 in particular were done working by 40. Another girl in that clique does something at Google. She mentioned it nonstop. Another girl married a black NBA guy, had kids and divorced him.

For my close friends...one moved to Germany and had three kids. He doesn't do career stuff and teaches English through a method he calls pub-style; he takes them to a bar and they buy him drinks all day.

My closest friend worked for an airline straight out of highschool, no college. But he worked his way up to station head in San Diego, met some chick with the clock ticking and they got married at like 40, popped out two kids. Turns out she's loaded and he hit 20 years with the airline and retired. They fly all over.

Another bro married a girl in our class. He's a firefighter and she's a teacher. They have 4 kids. Of our close friends he's the only other guy with 4 kids. Another dude I kind of knew, became a priest, quit, and now has 7 kids.

We did have one guy go on to play for a college championship and start as a quarterback for 10 years in the NFL. He does broadcasting now. He married a girl from a class 2 years younger.

One guy that literally blew his face off in a failed suicide attempt became a lawyer. He and another chick that went to law school with me were the only attorneys. One guy I was certain would be a CEO is a travel writer and huge social media shitlib.

As for deaths, one really nice girl died from a brain aneurysm. That's all I know about.
