There has never been in the history of all of mankind someone who inherited generational wealth who didn't feel entitled to it.
When the French Revolution intercepted Louis XVI's letters to the other monarchies in Europe he essentially said I own everything in this country and the Revolution is insane. I'm taking it all back for myself at the soonest opportunity. I'm only playing along with these people to bide time but when the monarchy is restored I'm going to make sure everyone knows it's all my personal property.
It's kooky but people who receive life altering presents from their parents universally feel entitled to them. Even if they are rich and everyone else on Earth is poor. It's still theirs. Even if it's wealth of an entire nation. It's still their property in their estimation.
In light of that it's pretty easy to see why people who were literally starving to death cut all these people's heads off.
The thought of RSF claiming that someone — anyone — earns too much when he has never earned at all is just too ironic to ignore.

RSF's Complete Guide to people who have enough already. Yes, single moms and heroin addicts, people with criminal records and legal immigrants they have all gone too far in their baller lifestyle. Unlike you who DESERVES the wealth of their ancestors. But plate carriers are scum. I'm glad we've identified the blue collar underbelly of society is getting a free ride. The cook doesn't make enough, the pilot who flies you around doesn't make enough, the concierge who checks you in and the maids who clean your room, all earning an honest wage all included in the fee! But a waiter is a leech on society. You know you've inspired me, in light of their largesse, I think perhaps we should simply kill them all. No value added, unlike RSF who is a huge boon to society sitting on his ass all day picking his nose. I'm glad you've identified the real assholes in this situation, the waiters. Scum of the Earth, basically.

Nothing I have ever had to do or would have to do to survive could possibly drive me as nuts as you logging in here with no friends, not having any respect, and the only people around you in life are there for your money including your ex wife who couldn't stand you. Meanwhile keep dunking on people with blue collar jobs it's a great look for you. You inherited daddy's money, never worked a day in your life, and it still eats at you that no one respects you or thinks your interesting and your only content creation is about consumption and spending money you didn't earn which you will defend to the grave as your divine right to possess. Keep talking shit though about people who have nothing and bust their asses how they're overpaid. It's a great look for you and your legacy. You know no one sensible would do this in real life on camera in person which is why you never hear about it. You never hear Joe Rogan say man blue collar workers make way too much, what a scam. No one would put their name on that take but, unbelievably, you do and you do it quasi anonymously on the internet so you will always have plausible deniability. Really big of you, and this will forever be your bort legacy, dunking on blue collar worker's for being overpaid. Guy who has literally never worked a day in his life and everyone knows it.

how is bringing you a $100 bottle of wine any different than bringing you a $100 lobster plate that the kitchen prepares and the server only has to pick up and drop off with you anyway?
if anything the wine requires that whole performance show with pouring a little bit in and handing it to you to sniff and say "okay thats good"
just tip 15-20% on the total minus tax

you're fighting the hypo by comparing an expensive entree to a similarly expensive wine. the intent of the hypo seems to be to present a scenario where the wine is grossly disproportionate to the cost of the food.
imagine if you have some michelin restaurant with a $600 food bill ($300 tasting menu x 2 or whatever and you've already got the most expensive possible food), and you get a $3000 bottle of wine.
this case shows how retarded it is for you to attempt to fight the hypo.
if your answer in that case is still to tip 20%, fine. but dont fight the hypo.

thats not the "intent" of the hypo
the intent of the hypo is to ask why he has to tip for something that is so easy to do (bring wine which the restaurant already gets bottled) as opposed something he perceives as harder to do (bring food which the restuarant has to make)
hence the objection that it doesn't fucking matter bc the server does the same amt of work
your explanation also makes zero sense becuase there is nothing about drinks that warrants tipping less except for the fact that the restaurant doesn't have to prepare it like they do food

(from discussion on why parties of 6 are charged an auto-gratuity)
"And I’ve explained ad nauseam on this blog why “auto-grats” are slapped on to parties of six or more. Large parties eat slower than tables with two for four customers.
*** The way waiters and restaurants make their money is by “turning and burning” tables. I can make a lot more money serving several two-tops that take 1.5 hours to eat than getting my section clogged up with an eight-top that lingers over coffee until the busboys start swabbing the floors with bleach. (That’s restaurant speak for, “It’s time for you to go.”) ***
And if you’ve tied up my section the entire night and leave me a bad tip? Well then I’ve worked for nothing. Auto-grats are designed to protect waiters from cheap tippers like you, Dave."
it seems to me that eating and ordering quickly to facilitate a quicker table turn should count as part of the tip
