Almost every major company these days rates employees based on absurd "customer satisfaction" surveys that can have a dramatic impact on promotions, bonuses, and even employment. It's gotten to the point where employees practically beg customers for a top score via emails and multiple voicemails until the "survey" is completed.
I'm somewhat immune from the situation due to my position and also the fact that I always do a good job, but the proles beneath me live in fear of these ridiculous surveys. Isn't it sickening to see what GC has done to people? By the way, if you liked this poast, please give me five stars on Yelp. Thanks, and have a great day!

years ago i had a ghetto caribbean islander type come to install my satellite tv.
dude was SPS; tracked in dirt all over my carpet, talked to some skank on his motorola flip phone the whole time, fucked up my wall, and asked me for a bottle of water and then didn't thank me for it.
they have to call into some tech center to relay various numbers to get the shit all activated, and once they finish, they're supposed to give you a number that you call so that the company can verify shit went smoothly, yada yada.
this motherfucker hung up with his tech people and then dialed the feedback number on his phone and handed it to me so that he could stand there and try to peer pressure me into giving him 5 star ratings.

You know, I called FedEx the other day because my tracker said "DELIVERY FAILURE," and I thought some nog had absconded with my new computer. I called FedEx customer service, got the "the following call will be recorded" notice, and--to my shock--got connected to a young White woman, who of course was patient, concise, and helpful. At the end of the call, I made sure to say, very slowly and clearly, "Thank you, Amy, that's very reassuring and helpful."
I didn't know White people still worked. I thought they were all dying off from existential despair and opioid overdose. I hope I helped her in some way.

Keep in mind that 95% of the new cars I sell earn me a “mini” or minimum commission of $150 before taxes. That means that if someone absolutely LOVED me but thought that my coffee was sub par and put a 5 for “refreshments” on the survey that I effectively make about $20 for the sale and my time, I am definitely reprimanded by my managers and am one step closer to being replaced.
