Kicking myself at this fuckup during my job interview today

Date: April 22nd, 2026 8:53 PM Author: oomox I've been really slow getting into the groove of applying for jobs since my last day of work on the 10th, plus I had a day trip with friends and a lot of medical appointments to squeeze in before my health insurance ends. As a result, I only sent out 19 applications last week. So far I've gotten two rejections and one interview.
The interview went well and he asked me when I was available for the next round. Well, I'm WIDE OPEN next week and couldn't think of a lie on the spot to make it sound like I had shit going on. So I panicked and said slowly, "As of right now... next week... hmmm... I can make anything work." How bad did that make me look? And what should I say next time someone asks and I have a totally empty calendar? |
