This is dry swings, no ball. Hit a new max today. Haven't got past 106 club speed or 156 ball speed hitting balls on trackman, foresight, or using the PRGR monitor at the range. On course speed is around 102 +/- 3.

Really the only thing I've done consistently is taken 15-30 max swings with a monitor 3-4x a week and hit balls or played golf 2-3x a week. Zero gym work, and bought some knockoff superspeed sticks but have barely used them.

Goal is to see 115 club/170 ball speed maxing out on a monitor by end of 2025.

I used a trackman for the first time ever a couple weeks ago. 107 speed which apparently means like 250-260 carry and 280 run out. Ping guy was more looking at the spin rate, which I thought was interesting. Apparently you need to be under 2700 rpm

Yeah at 107, you probably want spin around 2000 to 2700. Higher end if your angle of attack is descending or pretty neutral. Lower end if you’re hitting up on the ball with driver +3 degrees or more.

I play an old goofy 6500 yd course like 90%+ of the time with a ton of doglegs and elevation. just about every drive I'm hitting a shot like it's a par 3 vs trying to max distance,

Yeah, my home course is a tight 6,300 yds where I should probably only use driver on 6 holes

I've gotten better hitting 3 wood now that I play more but still am more accurate with driver and only use 3 wood for distance reasons. went a stretch where I would only get out like 5 times a year and never went to the range so I was only hitting a few 3 woods a year and didn't know wtf it was going to do.

I'm not even carrying a 3 wood currently. If the hole is tight enough or short enough that I shouldn't hit driver, I usually just hit 4h or sometimes 5w or 5i. Never trusted myself to hit 3 wood off the deck, and just pull the 5w if I have something 230-250 out and am trying to get it up on or around the green.

I'm testing out some short shaft, lofted up driver set ups as a mini driver replacement, seeing if I can get something that gives up 15-20 yards but is more accurate and consistent.
