Rogan has skibidi brainrot. He's unlistenable. Lex Friedman is a midwit who ruins his own interviews. Tim Dillon has admitted that he's phoning it in at this point and cares more about seafood towers than being great.
Everything else is too dispersed. There's too many podcasts. You can't just go to one and stick with it you have to sift for a perfect guest host combo which is really rare.

Edit: looks like he does one episode per year. Must be retired and enjoying life.
No idea but I maxed out on that guy a long time ago. I listened to all the good ones. Peak was Mongols, WWI, and pre-war Japan which I never finished. His Ostfront series was mid. He did some cool Roman stuff but I'm over it. Last one I tried was ancient Assyria and he was just like there's no primary sources for any of this stuff and we really don't know. I was like then nigga why did you spend so much time on it?
He also had a current events podcast that was so insanely cringe. He named it Common Sense after Thomas Paine. What a pretentious twot. It NEVER took off.
