Mutter museum is gross and disrespectful to the people who died to create the exhibits. UPenn has an ok museum with ancient artifacts

It would be unethical to do that without the patient's consent these days. All the samples come from an era when there were no medical ethics at all. If you want to see that freaky shit you can read a medical textbook and get better pics and information

National Constitution Center is a good museum if you like American History.

Philly is surprisingly a good restaurant city. If you want a cheesesteak you don't have to go to the most famous places-- sometimes the rando italian deli is really good. Former head of the Philly mob has his own place. Skinny Joeys

I am more of a cheesesteak and Italian red sauce guy. I am just repeating what my betters from NYC have told me. Search around and you will find something. Jose Garces has some restaurants. Morimoto?

The Steven Starr ones are reliably good — Parc, Dandelion, El Vez, etc.

For seafood the Oyster bar on like 16th and Sansom

Reading Terminal — DiNic’s for Roast Pork, Beiler’s for donuts. Both have long lines but are worth it

The lamb shoulder at Zahav is legendary but I don’t like lamb so never tried it

Vedge is one of the best vegetarian restaurants in America if you’re into that

McGillan’s near City Hall is a tremendous dive bar. Other good ones in Center City are Oscar’s and McGlinchy’s. You can still smoke in McGlinchy’s, at least last time I went

good choices, would add to that a “regular” Italian hoagie

fresh baked bread, preferably from a local Italian bakery, provolone, ham, gabagool, salami, lettuce, tomato, onion, hot peppers, with a generous dousing of “hoagie” oil

Atlantic City has something similar but a little different, if you’re going there we’ll need a new thread for that
