Habeck may well have been Germany's most talented politician period, and he certainly was on the left. The fact that he quit politics is telling- he knows there's no future in Germany for left-wing politics in general and the Green Party specifically. By their very name they have tied themselves at the hip to an environmental issue which fewer and fewer Germans give a shit about. |
