I'd been waiting for my wedding invitation in the mail since 2024. I nearly fell out of my chair when I saw you've been married for over two years. Holy fuck, you bastard!

Lawn expert here. Just wanna say People who rake thatch in early spring get blessed with weedy lawns. Don't fall into that goytrap just cause it's finally sunny. Burn the thatch with a landscaping torch or let soil microbes eat it naturally over time.

I use tenacity in the early spring right after dethatching and overseeding. I just don't let the dogs out for a few days.

Dethatching is a huge goy scam I promise. Get a landscaping torch & your lawn will look insane. I have a degree in soil from Yale. I regularly have people pull over and ask me for lawn advice when I'm outside

No the live grass has moisture in it and even if it did burn every blade of grass down to the soil you would have thick lush weed free growth in about 8 days the fire does not harm the roots at all & grass is highly fire adapted the ash is great fertilizer

I have a landscape torch (I use it to start fires off of 1 lb propane tanks that I refill from three 20-lb tanks I use in a cascade), so I'll give it a shot on a small area of my back yard to see if this works

I cleaned gutters this morning until the battery on my leaf blower died. Then I climbed a tree and cut off a 40’ long widowmaker that was about 25’ up and hanging precariously, broken in the middle (climbing up trees and on roofs is no easy feat do a gentleman of my ample proportions), then I split even more firewood, the stack is over 7’ high now, and then I went to the grocer and the Italian specialty store. Now I’m feasting on some antipasta and thinking about making one of those great big Italian chop sandwiches out of the remaining prosciutto, gabagol, and other sundries out on my counter. Might watch and episode of the Sopranos too. I’ve been married to my wife for 14 years and we already have 4 kids so I don’t have to overdo it so much now that I’m a middle aged bro,
