If you’re lucky enough to keep your job, all AI seems to be doing is giving companies an excuse not to hire people. Team is 50% understaffed just use AI and BUILD IT. Want to boost the stock price, layoff 20% then do AI.

No matter what happens, these companies will squeeze employees for as much “work” as they can. Just make sure you are the ones entering the prompts and building the agents and not the ones on the street.

Not really. People use to go to sleep when the sun went down and wake up when it started to rise (varying slightly based on season & latitude)

Staying up after dark is an evil invention of GC and is absurd on its face.

"We need mass immigration to do our labor because native citizens "won't do it" and/or there's a "labor shortage." But we also need to replace that same labor that mass immigrated here with AI and robots."

LMAO, it's not the mass migrants whose jobs are getting replaced. We still need them. It's the others who will become unnecessary.

within 5 years all of the stuff in that article will be fully or close to fully automated

i’m an AI skeptic with generally longer timelines and even i can recognize that this stuff is coming very soon. this can all be done with current tech. it just needs some time and investment in RL environments

You're blurring over a lot of tasks by using the word "stuff"

A robot is not going to be able to do the job of a hotel maid for 30-40 years, if ever. Or of a landscaper. Or a car mechanic. Or a plumber. Or a roofer.

libs have shit for brains

the welfare scam is bigger than all of the other lib-state scams going on and it is also sanctioned by conservatives

native citizens can do the tough work illegals do. welfare should be basically zero when jobs are available

protip: jobs are always available

idk man. i think there's a lot of good, valuable work being done that AI will 100% fuck up.

take taxes for example. what you're gonna get is specialized AI agents for 15-20% less than what we currently pay, but heaven forbid you have anything that AI cannot handle and you will pony up like 500% more than it costs now to one of the handful of specialists around

Look I’m a faggot also, but doing taxes is not the first example I would go to for areas where I currently interact with humans and fear letting the computers run shit. It’s not hard to imagine AI being more effective and cheaper than the current combo of the IRS, H&R Block, and big 4/Biglaw people who bill $1000/hr for routine shit because occasionally you need them for something actually difficult or to keep you out of prison or audit hell.
